CAT members participated in the International Meeting of Camps in Ukraine. While CAT members held several presentations in the conference, which was a big interest and hosted tens of camps from Russia and Ukraine, they also got the opportunity to meet and share ideas with their collegues. The Cogress came to an end with the visit of Artek Camp, the largest operating camp in the world. You may find photos of the trip in our facebook groups page.

The members of the Camps Association of Turkey, which was founded in February 2010 and continuing with it's work efficiently since, will be participating in the International Meeting of Camps in Ukraine between September 1 to 16, as an invited guest of the Russian Camps Association. Besides attending the seminars and discussions with their collegues, CAT members will find the opportunity to visit the Artek Camp which is the largest running camp in the world.

John Woods arrived in Turkey at the end of July and visited the members camps of TCA in Uludag, Cesme and Izmir in August. Woods was very content while leaving the country mentioning that it was a very efficient trip in order to observe and learn about camping in Turkey.

Australian Camps Association John Woods will be arriving to Turkey on July 28th as a guest of the Camps Association of Turkey.
During his one week stay in Turkey, John Woods will be visiting the TCA member camps and sharing visions in order to prepeare the basements of camper/counselor exchange between the two countries.
Woods will be leaving Turkey on the 5th of August for his next stop in Greece.

Camps Association of Turkey which targets to fill the needed gap in the sector with its foundation and raise its voice with the new and growing members, throug the successful communication acts starting from the foundation, finds a large interest in the National press.
Besides the full page news on leading newspapers such as Hurriyet, Haberturk ve Aksam, CAT took part in several other newspapers and Internet sites, successfully accomplishing it's communication act planned with it's foundation.

ICF President Valery Kostin who arrived in Turkey on the 1st of May, as a guest of Turkish Camps Association Fahrettin Gozet, left the country on the 12th of May.
Valery Kostin got together with the members of TCA on the 1st of May. Kostin mentioned how content he is for the foundation of TCA and he added that Turkey's great potential in youth tourism and camping is now widely accepted in the international communities.
On the 8th of May, Kostin made an interview to Hurriyet, the widely read newspaper in the country, with Fahrettin Gozet and explained the economical value that Turkish camping could create, with facts and lived examples.
The interview was published full page, on the economics session of the newspaper.

ICF President Valery Kostin participated in the CAT meeting as a special guest on the 1st of May. Kostin attentively listened to the discussions about how to improve camping and bring it to the targeted level in Turkey. While he informed the CAT members about the camping world in Russia, he emphasized on the importance of international communication and sharing in the sector. After talking about getting acquainted with Fahrettin Gozet, who is the founding president of CAT and a steering commitee member of ICF, Kostin shared his memories of his over 30-year camping life with pictures and invited all CAT members to the ICF Conference in Hong Kong 2011.
